Just wanted to share with you two things that brought me joy recently:
It always makes me so happy to see a fellow Coloradoan that I squeal with little kid joy! Call me crazy, I know, but it's a simple thing that makes me smile a lot.
The other thing that brought me joy was waking up to this beautiful sight this morning:
Our first official snow fall of the year! We're only supposed to get 4 - 6 inches, but we already had about 5 when I left at 7am and it was still coming down steady and is supposed to all day! It's perfect powder for skiing...if only I was back home.
I'm thankful for these little blessings God granted me the past 24 hours. It makes it much easier to endure the no water at the house, which means no showers for the past couple days. Guess that means I'll get to experience what it's like to shower in the men's bathroom here at work. Wish me luck because from what I hear, there's no hot water!
Hope you all receive many simple joys today and over the weekend.
Being away from Colorado myself, I can relate to these simple joys! It has never snowed where I live since I have lived here - I also love seeing CO license plates! :)
ReplyDeleteWell, I sure hope you get water, soon!
ReplyDeleteI had the pleasure of visiting Colorado back around 1979. My brother lived in New Mexico, and took a drive from Albuquerque, up through Colorado, down into Utah and then Arizona. Of the whole trip, Colorado was my favorite state. So beautiful!
BTW, I'm from Long Island, New York. We had a lovely snowstorm here yesterday!
